Outreach in our Community

Our Methodist Church at Sidwell Street seeks to bring its mission and the message of love that Christ embodied to individuals and groups within our local community.

Monday afternoons in the Rainbow Garden, a breath of fresh air on Sidwell Street. We are open to the local Community February to October every Monday from 3pm to share practical skills and knowledge of growing fruit and vegetables. There is no charge and all helpers are welcome to take home a share of the produce.

Tuesday Coffee Mornings These are held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.

Monthly on a Wednesday evening we have a Meeting with speakers and illustrated talks, sometimes chocolate cake and an annual dinner out as well as a summer time BBQ in the Rainbow Garden.

Thursday mornings (during school term time) Parents, carers, toddlers & babies group. A chance to socialise and learn, for carers and children includes a healthy snack and refreshments.

Thursday evening (during term time) is Badminton Club Open to all, from 7:30pm. One doubles court with opportunity to socialise and exercise with refreshments.

Fellowship Lunches A simple lunch is served occasionally after our morning service for those who would appreciate more company during a meal.

At Harvest and Christmas, gifts are distributed to various groups in our community. Please get in touch if you know of a need in our community.

We work with other Methodist churches to support National and International charitable work including Mission in Britain and World Missions, Methodist Homes for the Aged, Action for Children, All We Can ,Shelter box, Christian Aid and the Francisco Rojas School in Peru.

We rent our premises to community groups to support a range of activities including Addiction Support Meetings, dance and exercise classes.

We also enable the Hebron Pentecostal Church and Exeter Network Church to worship on our church premises and rent rooms for a range of community activites.
